Kayak the Black River, Dexter NY.

• The Fish Island launch site area is next door to Bob's Rafting in Dexter. 
• We’ll paddle up the river to Brownville, NY and back to the Boat Launch
• This paddle is upstream from the dam, so some of it is reservoir-like.
• Usually takes 2-3 hours depending on much time we poke around the shoreline. It's scenic.
• If you’d like to do some whitewater rafting at the end, go for it. Very fast and difficult to paddle upstream.
• The water is deep here, so touring, recreational, and inflatables should be fine.
• Consider joining after our paddle at the Texas Roadhouse Rt 3 Watertown.

• Take NY-177 S Harbor Rd toward Smithville
• Follow S Harbor Rd County Rte 66 and NY 180 N/Great Lakes Seaway to Dexter.
• Turn Right onto Water St then right again onto Canal St.
