Hike Spruce Pond to Jones Hill - New day

Join us for a hike!

We'll meet at the parking area alongside Spruce Pond at 1 PM.  There is limited parking and it would be helpful if some could carpool. (Looking at the attached map, starting on Rt. 80, go up Herlihy Road to the unpaved section and, after reaching a long flat section,  don't take the left turn.  Go straight to the parking area.)

The hike will start from Spruce Pond, go up a very steep hill, and then hike across to Jones Hill for a three mile round trip.  An option is to add an additional two miles to go down to Tinker Falls and return.  The trail will be wet and muddy in places.  We will ford a small stream and the original grade is challenging.   With the warmer weather there will be insects and appropriate clothing is suggested.

Be sure to register here if you plan to attend as the number of hikers is limited.  Registration will close on April 11.
