WHO CAN RACE?

• Race is open to all racers 12 years of age or older. Put a team together or come as an individual and be assigned to a team at sign-up time. J1 & J2 racers welcome. 

SCORING AND AWARDS (New Race Categories This Year):

• Each Race Team will consist of 5 Racers as a minimum (up to 11 maximum).
• The fastest time of 2 runs will be counted for the 5 best racers on a team.
• Trophies will be awarded for the following team categories:
• Overall fastest teams based on NASTAR handicap scoring.
• Fastest College Teams based on actual times.
  • Trophies will also be awarded for each NASTAR age and gender group.
  • Pizza/beer/soda party following the race in the ‘Ole Bar in the Main Lodge.

REGISTRATION:
9 AM to11 AM on race day in the ‘Ole Bar in the Main Lodge atLabradorMtn.

• $15 per person for Labrador ski pass holders or Labrador Team NASTAR members.
• $30 per person for J1 or J2 racers from other mountains (includes lift ticket)
• $30 per person for College Students (includes lift ticket)
• $35 for all others (includes lift ticket)

Every Fall (mid October) the club sponsors an annual Road Rally.  Participants assemble with their cars of choice at a starting location where they receive written descriptions of the route.  One has about 5 minutes to speed read the directions, and then each car starts at about 10 minute intervals.  One has to follow the clues in the written directions to amas points, and run the entire route to come as close as possible to a standard milage and time of completion established by the race organizers.

 The written clues lead participants through beautiful Fall foilage filled hills and valleys around Syracuse and surrounding countryside to a final location.  After completing the route, participants gather, discuss the race, and enjoy a celebration meal.  Awards follow the dinner for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.

2012 Annual OSC Snow Tubing Outing

Join Sandi and Marv Patnode for some exciting tubing races with adults and children of all ages. Bring your children, grandchildren, neighbors, and friends. Lets make this another successful event.

Where: Plan now to attend the annual OSC tubing outing at Four Seasons Ski Center, Route 5, Fayetteville.

When: January 21, 2012 (check the club calendar) from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Ticket cost: $12 per person.
